Julia

Julia’s Path is Faith inspired. The gift of color, nature and passion to paint all come from her faith. From some young years in Asheville, North Carolina to many in Denver and the Rocky Mountain West. The colors and shapes of natural landscapes are seared in her mind. She attended William Woods University in Missouri and University of Colorado in Denver. She and her husband were married in Hanalei, Hawaii and often returned. A years stay, recently, in Fairhope, Alabama, she absorbed the ocean, the bay and the colors of the Deep South. Now living in Cropwell, Alabama, nature's colors continue to have greatest impact on her painting.

There is no spring quite like the Blue Ridge Mountains. The lush multitude of greens are incredible.

There is nothing like the amazing beauty of living in Colorado. With travels to Arizona and New Mexico, the shapes, the heat and color of the West are part of her pallet. As a college student in Missouri and Colorado, she explored many mediums and styles as she continues to do so, evolving..

Julia worked as Interior Designer at a firm in Denver and painted commissions.

Having returned to Hawaii, the Southwestern Desert and Costal Alabama, she is always finding more inspiration, more color, more texture. Moving to a cooler climate in North Georgia, she and her husband renovated metal barn. Her studio occupied a portion of the barn where the lighting was incredible.

Experimentation, large canvas, dramatic bold color and rich textures, often exposing many layers are a consistent signature.

She and her husband have two grown children, 2 grand children and three dogs.

2017 took them back to Alabama to build a custom farmhouse on 40 acres. So exciting! More inspiration / photos to come!
